Drop rate confusion
Yesterday I farmed for the Wing Axe outside of kaineng center about a dozen times solo w/o any drops.
Today I was roaming around and questing with 7 henchies and killed Chkkr, and the Chkkr's flatbow dropped. I am really confused on the drop rate system here. Was I just unlucky yesterday and insanely luck today? |

We don't know the exact chance of a green dropping, but, I believe, estimates (semi-seriously) are about .01%. And this is reset everytime you enter the zone. So anyone who gets a green is lucky.

Most greens are about 1/10, but some aren't.
Compare Kephket's Refuge to let's say...Broodmothers Kephket's drops at least every 3 runs, and usually in doubles. Broodmother's drops about 1/10 Saevio's Maul, from my personal experience, drops 1/30 I killed him 89 times and got 2 drops, all in hardmode solo, so either bad luck or not every rate is the same. |

Would farming with henchies in hard mode make it a lot easier to get drops? Or would the chance still be super low?- Like farming SF for example.

If you want a green, You have to be only one in radar or your chances are effectively eighth-ed . One way is to run a solo build, kill everything around the boss, flag henchies out and then kill boss, it's same as being solo.

Some greens are known to drop more than others. For example, Rotscale's bow drops practically every time you kill him.
